Nodeinfo was created by some Diaspora devs to prove how much more popular their software was than my software; because we proved not long before that they literally lost 1 out of every 3 messages they attempted to deliver - over a period of like 5 years. Might've been 2 our of 3. I forget now. It was an obscene amount of messages. Gone. Vanished without a trace. Nobody talked these "little federation issues" but I had to - because I got blamed for it. "You must've done something wrong because Diaspora software is perfect."
If you want people tracking everything in the fediverse and measuring who has the most popular brand and how far their developers can piss, you're welcome to play that game and implement/install nodeinfo. I'll tell you right now that Meta is going to kick your butt when it comes to MAUs. I have more important work to do. I don't give a hoot about brands and horse races. I'm just creating software that does some really cool stuff that your software doesn't.
And this is why you won't find my current software in any of your silly little fediverse trackers.
Cheers.
